i've been talking to a guy named dimitri about all this, too. in case the ship goes down and hits water, and there's still people on board to be evacuated, some water pokémon that know surf wouldn't hurt to have either.

jeez, you're giving me a lot of credit as an inspirational figure. but i think you're selling yourselves a bit short, aren't you? you kids have been through more than a few major life-or-death incidents of your own. and while i can't stop emphasizing how much you shouldn't have had to handle it yourselves, you guys handled yourselves just fine without needing any pros there to guide you. every little bit helps, and i'm certainly not going to leave you guys hanging when i COULD help, but don't act like you guys haven't proved yourselves equal to a situation like this with or without me when you already have. my presence is an assist to you, not a necessity.
