[After MUCHO anxiety, and a lot of debating again, a lot of his pokemon trying to figure out why he's pacing before settling in to text, and Shoto comes up with the following:]

Hello, Hawks.
I was wondering if you'd mind telling me where you're at, currently.

Once again Hawks is chill and has no idea how much anxiety he's causing Shouto by being cool

[Damn it. He didn't plan out the 'I bought you a present' part. Evermore since he's close to where Shoto is.]

I'm not sure if you saw but Uraraka and Eri's pokemon have had eggs. One of which is a bird. I can't take care of more flying-type as Miu and Kei take a lot of my training. However, I wanted to support them and thought perhaps you'd enjoy the pokemon as well. It's called a Swablu.

[God it sounds creepy to him, he's turned into one of those.]

a swablu? i've been looking for one of those! i met the parent, too, i think. she perched on my head.

[Shouto is given this gift of a mental image as Hawks continues.]

so what do i need to do? contact them? are they selling them?

[Shouto hasn't made it entirely clear that he's actually handling the egg acquiring process on Hawks' behalf. But it's clear that Hawks is eager to get himself another bird for his team, at least.]

[Hang on hang on, thank God for text. Hawks sounds actually excited, or reads that way. Give him a second to realize he did something more than buy a present for a pro hero just facilitate a good home for a pokemon and help a good friend out. Not to mention the idea of a tiny swablu on Hawks' head won't be leaving any time soon.]

They are, but it's already purchased. I wasn't sure where to send it [Read as he didn't let the full braincell loose, however that happens for Shoto.] so I had them send it to me. I can come give it to you, if you have the time. I'm in the area you're around, or send my pokemon with it.

wait, you bought it for me? you didn't have to do that, you know...although i'd be hard-pressed to say no to any gift, much less when it's a bird.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I have two badges left and weather permitting I will be moving on to Kanto as soon as I can right after.

impressive! i've got four to go still. we'd actually be traveling in the same direction if i wasn't heading to cianwood first.

but you're right that a bird won't have a better home than with me! so should i come to you, or the other way around? or both of us pick somewhere to meet up?
