[Thank god this is text. That abrupt question out of the blue fractures even Hawks' outer composure, but since they're not face to face...nobody has to know about that.]

I've heard they enjoy disrupting large gatherings. I'm going to prom, I've made my mind up. I'd like to ask you to come with me. Your tactical knowledge is far superior to mine. To ours, and an airship is no laughing matter to make a mistake if the rest of us don't see something you would have.

you don't even need to ask. i was gonna go no matter what you did. if things might go bad, heroes ought to be on hand. and since it's on an airship...well, among the various things that could go wrong, a lot of them are things that could benefit from a lot of flying pokémon being on hand.

i don't know how much anyone's tactical knowledge is gonna make a difference, though. you can't really plan tactics for total unknowns. at best we can take a wide range of preventative measures.

I have a few pokemon capable of fly. I'll be sure to tell them they need to come with me. I'll talk to my Rookidee, maybe this will encourage her to want to evolve.

I think you're not giving yourself full confidence, Hawks. Even knowing you're there won't make us relax, it will put us at the top of our game. We look up to you, but don't forget what the reason is.

i've been talking to a guy named dimitri about all this, too. in case the ship goes down and hits water, and there's still people on board to be evacuated, some water pokémon that know surf wouldn't hurt to have either.

jeez, you're giving me a lot of credit as an inspirational figure. but i think you're selling yourselves a bit short, aren't you? you kids have been through more than a few major life-or-death incidents of your own. and while i can't stop emphasizing how much you shouldn't have had to handle it yourselves, you guys handled yourselves just fine without needing any pros there to guide you. every little bit helps, and i'm certainly not going to leave you guys hanging when i COULD help, but don't act like you guys haven't proved yourselves equal to a situation like this with or without me when you already have. my presence is an assist to you, not a necessity.

Because you are. You've been a mentor and a friend to me, Hawks. Here especially. I only wish I knew you didn't already realize that.
